Michael Fellner (District President)

Michael Fellner (born November 9, 1901 in Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate , † December 26, 1998 in Munich ) was a German administrative lawyer .

Career

After graduating from the humanistic grammar school , Fellner began studying law at the universities of Munich and Würzburg in 1921, which he completed in 1925 with a state examination and doctorate. After the First World War he was a member of a free corps in 1919 and of the Black Reichswehr in 1922/23 . After completing his legal traineeship, he passed the major state law examination in 1928. Fellner then entered the Bavarian state services and was active as a member of the government in Ebern from 1930 and in Schrobenhausen from 1933 . In 1937 he joined the NSDAP . From 1938 to 1944 he was a member of the government and from 1942 he was a senior government councilor in the Munich Police Headquarters , most recently as Deputy Police President. From June 1944 he served in the Wehrmacht .

After the end of the war he was a prisoner of war until 1947. According to the decision of the Spruchkammer Munich I of March 11, 1948, he was included in the group of exonerated persons. On May 1, 1948, he was employed by the government of Upper Bavaria while at the same time being seconded to the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior. In 1951 he was appointed Ministerial Councilor. On December 1, 1955 he was appointed President of the Swabian government. On November 30, 1966, he retired.

Since 1921 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Aenania Munich .
