Erwin Lohner

Erwin Lohner (born March 6, 1962 in Gundelfingen an der Donau ) is a German administrative lawyer . He has been President of the Swabian government since May 1, 2018 .

Career

After graduating from the Wittelsbacher Gymnasium in Munich , he began studying law. Erwin Lohner began his career after his second state examination as a research assistant at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and as a trial reporter at the Munich Administrative Court . After completing his doctorate and becoming a civil servant for life, Lohner performed various tasks in the Ministry of the Interior, the District Office in Starnberg and the government of Upper Bavaria, before he acted as personal advisor and office manager to Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann from the end of 2007 . From mid-2014 he was head of the planning, communication and sport department in the Ministry of the Interior. On May 1, 2018, he succeeded Karl Michael Scheufele as District President of Swabia.
