Friedrich Carl von Reigersberg

Friedrich Carl Joseph Franz Freiherr von Reigersberg (born August 26, 1774 in Würzburg ? † August 8, 1840 in Fechenbach near Würzburg) was chamberlain and envoy in Paris from 1806 to 1814 for the Grand Duke of Würzburg .

Relatives and life

His brother Heinrich Aloys Graf von Reigersberg, who was four years older than him, was President of the Reich Chamber Court and Bavarian Minister of Justice. Both are great-grandchildren of the Electorate of Mainz, Chancellor  Nikolaus Georg von Reigersberg, who was one of the signatories of the Peace of Westphalia in 1648.

Baron von Reigersberg was Real Privy Councilor and Envoy and Minister Plenipotentiary for the Grand Duchy of Würzburg in Paris . After the transition from Würzburg to Bavaria, he was owner of the rule of court Fechenbach .

Title and medal

On May 12, 1816, the Bavarian King Maximilian I Joseph elevated him to the rank of count.

In addition, he received the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown , the Grand Ducal-Würzburg Order of St. Joseph and the Austrian-Imperial Leopold Order .
