Friedrich Dermietzel

Friedrich Wilhelm Dermietzel (born May 14, 1873 in Lunow ; † August 15, 1942 there ) was a German farmer , landowner and politician ( DNVP ).

Life

After graduating from primary school, Dermietzel attended an agricultural school. He worked as a farmer from 1890 and owned an estate in Lunow. In addition, he was a member of numerous agricultural and forestry professional associations, including a board member of the Brandenburg Chamber of Agriculture, Chairman of the Association of Silviculture Associations in the Province of Brandenburg and Chairman of the group of small forest owners in the State Association of Prussian Forest Owner Associations as well as a member of the forestry department of the Main Chamber of Agriculture and member of the Reich Forestry Council. In addition, he was a member of the board of trustees of the tobacco research institute in Karlsruhe and the board of trustees of the agricultural research institutes in Landsberg an der Warthe .

Dermietzel joined the German National People's Party (DNVP) after the First World War . He was the deputy head of office in Lunow and was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament in December 1924 , to which he belonged until the end of the fourth legislative period in 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 5 (Frankfurt a. O.).

His son Friedrich Karl Dermietzel was a doctor and, during the time of National Socialism, an SS brigade leader and major general of the Waffen SS.
