Friedrich Gottfried Rettig

Friedrich Gottfried Rettig (born June 4, 1802 in Elze , † April 5, 1866 in Göttingen ) was a German writer , Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the General Diocese of Göttingen .

Life

Rettig was a son of Senator Heinrich Philipp Rettig. He studied theology.

He was the first inspector of the school teacher seminar in Hanover and the grammar school in Hanover . In 1839 he became superintendent in Sulingen , in 1842 first pastor at the St. Johannis Church and general superintendent of Göttingen.
