Friedrich Jaeger (born November 14, 1946 in Trier-Ehrang ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Jaeger graduated from a university of applied sciences in 1966 and then served in the armed forces for two years . In 1968 he began training as a police officer, in this profession he then worked in Koblenz , Schifferstadt , Mainz , Wittlich - Wengerohr and Trier. He was a police advisor at the police headquarters in Trier, most recently he was in charge of the police station in Bitburg . He is a member of the police union .

In 1969 Jaeger joined the SPD. In 1979 he was elected to the Trier city council for the first time, and in 1991 he took over the chairmanship of the parliamentary group. He was also a member of the board of directors of Sparkasse Trier , the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Trier and Wohnungsbau und Treuhand AG Trier. On December 5, 2000, Jaeger succeeded Josef Peter Mertes in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament and was a member of it until the end of the election period on May 17, 2001. Jaeger was Mertes' deputy, who was directly elected in the Trier / Schweich constituency. During his time in the state parliament, Jaeger was a member of the budget and finance committee, the media policy committee, the audit committee and the "DIZ" committee of inquiry.
