Wengerohr is the largest district of Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate in terms of population .
Wengerohr has an area of 473 hectares.
history
Until the end of the 18th century Wengerohr belonged to the Wittlich office in the Electorate of Trier .
On June 7, 1969 Wengerohr was incorporated into the district town of Wittlich. The Belingen location came to Wengerohr.
economy
The largest employer is Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG . The company operates one of its largest plants for frozen food production in Wengerohr and produces pizza there in particular . In the Dr. Other companies are located in Oetker-Strasse, e.g. B. Follmann Baustoffe, John Deere or the motor vehicle inspection organization KÜS .
traffic
The “ Wittlich Hauptbahnhof ” train station is located in Wengerohr on the Trier – Koblenz line on the Moselle . The federal highway 50 runs through the village . Since the end of 2015 there has also been a motorway access.
