Friedrich Kirchner (philologist)

Friedrich Albert Emil Kirchner (born March 22, 1840 in Glauzig , Province of Saxony , † in the 20th century ) was a German high school teacher in Prussia.

Life

Kirchner attended the Friedrichsgymnasium in Frankfurt a. O. After graduating from high school, he studied classical philology at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . With a doctoral thesis on the Attic orator Andokides , he was awarded Dr. phil. PhD. Examined pro facultate docendi at the beginning of May 1862 , he was an assistant teacher at the grammar school in Pyritz until Easter 1863 , until Michaelis in 1864 he was a full teacher and alumni director at the Friedrichsgymnasium in Frankfurt. From October 1, 1864 to December 1, 1870 he was the first senior teacher at the Progymnasium and the Gymnasium in Demmin . Then he was the first senior teacher and prorector at the grammar school in Jauer until Michaelis 1872 , then until the beginning of July 1877 director of the grammar school in Ohlau . Also as director he came to the grammar school in Ratibor and Michaelis in 1882 to the Realgymnasium in Düsseldorf . At Easter 1903 he was appointed to the management of the Knight Academy (Liegnitz) .
