Friedrich Nämsch

Friedrich Nämsch (born February 15, 1909 in Hildesheim ; † October 12, 1992 there ) was honorary mayor of Hildesheim ( SPD ) from 1964 to 1968 and from 1972 to 1975 .

Life

Nämsch grew up in Hochkamp in the north of the city . In 1923 he began training as a machine fitter at Senking . From 1931 to 1933 he was unemployed due to the global economic crisis . In 1933 he was drafted into the Reich Labor Service . He then worked in a chemical factory in Holzminden , but returned to Senking in 1934. In 1942 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht , was wounded in World War II and was taken prisoner of war . After returning home in 1945, he worked again at Senking, where he rose to head of department .

Soon after joining the SPD in 1946, he became its chairman in Hildesheim. He was also appointed to the district parliament by the British Military Government in 1946 , where he served on numerous committees .

From October 13, 1946 to October 31, 1981, Nämsch was a member of the Hildesheim City Council without interruption . He was also a member of the administrative board of Stadtsparkasse Hildesheim and the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Hildesheim from 1946 to 1981 .
