Friedrich Wilhelm (politician)

Friedrich Wilhelm (born April 16, 1916 in Rottenbauer , today Würzburg , † March 25, 2000 ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

After graduating from high school in 1935, Wilhelm worked as an intern and student at the Technical University of Munich in the Faculty of Agriculture, where he received his degree in agriculture in 1940. From 1939 to 1943 he was drafted into military service. There he was a lieutenant in the infantry, was wounded twice and was a prisoner of war. He did his doctorate while on leave. After the war he headed two nutrition offices, first in Bad Kissingen and later in Würzburg. In 1949 he was elected district administrator of the Würzburg district, which he held until 1978. In 1953 he became chairman of the Lower Franconia branch of the Bavarian district association, and in 1958 he became second chairman of the Bavarian district association and member of the executive committee of the German district association .

From 1962 to 1970, during his tenure as district administrator, Wilhelm was a member of the Bavarian state parliament , to which he was elected both times in the Würzburg-Land - Marktheidenfeld constituency. From March 1, 1971 until the end of 1981 he was a member of the Senate for the group of municipalities and municipal associations .
