Friedrich Wilhelm Curt von Leipziger (born January 14, 1761 in Dresden ; † May 24, 1824 in Kropstädt ) was an electoral Saxon and from 1806 royal Saxon governor of the spa district , court judge in Wittenberg and manor owner . After the Congress of Vienna he became one of the first Prussian district administrators in the province of Saxony .

Life

He came from the Saxon noble family Leipzig and was the son of Friedrich Adolph von Leipziger (1724–1760) and Erdmutha Henrietta, née von Lüttichau . He was born posthumously as his father died a few months before his birth during a construction operation. His mother married Carl Erasmus von Huldenberg (1724–1777), who brought several goods into the family and later provided for his stepson's financial security. After his death, Friedrich Wilhelm Curt von Leipziger's mother married a third time. Her new husband was her former brother-in-law Rudolf Gottlob von Huldenberg (1736–1790).

Friedrich Wilhelm Carl von Leipziger embarked on an administrative career and became governor for the Electoral Saxon and, from 1806, royal Saxon spa district. As such he was u. a. responsible for the Wittenberg district office and the Graefenhainichen office.

His wife, a née von Krosigk, came into the possession of the family through the inheritance of the manor Kropstädt and its accessories, as well as the manor Jahmo . This made it possible for him to take over the office of district administrator in the Wittenberg district from 1816 , which he held until 1821. His son Moritz Adolph George von Leipziger (* 1795) followed in his father's footsteps and also became a Prussian district administrator in the Bitterfeld district.
