Friedrich von Ahlefeldt (* 28. April 1618 in Rosary ( Schinkel ); † 2. January 1665 at Schloss Reinbek ), Mr. on Good Seestermühe , Schinkel , Good Steinhorst , Good Tremsbüttel and high Princely Gottorfischer governor and monastery provost to Uetersen .

Life

Friedrich von Ahlefeldt studied in Jena and Cologne and was elected provost of the Uetersen monastery from 1641 . He resigned from his post as provost of the monastery in 1657, when he was appointed by the king to the Hochfürstlich Gottorfischen governor. From 1648 he was the Holstein-Gottorfischer district administrator and bailiff in Reinbek and Trittau . In 1653 he became a member of the Regensburg Reichstag. After the death of Friedrich III. he was involved in the peace negotiations with Denmark for the Gottorfischer side. Due to his education, personal qualities and his wealth, he took a leading position among his peers. He was in the first place in Christian Albrecht's district council and fought against the Swedes-friendly environment. In 1661 he led the negotiations between Holstein-Gottorf and Denmark in which, contrary to the wishes of Sweden, the position of the estates prevailed and the joint government was continued. During Christian Albrechts' trip abroad in 1662, Friedrich von Ahlefeldt led the government as governor with the diplomat Johann Adolph Kielmann von Kielmannsegg (1612–1676) Stayed on course.

In 1665 he died at Reinbek Castle and he was commemorated in an extensive funeral sermon. Countess Sophie Eleonore zu Stolberg-Stolberg (1669–1745) included them in her famous collection of 40,000 printed sermons of this genre. This multi-volume work is now in the Herzog August Library in Wolfenbüttel.
