Friedrich von Kreisbach

Friedrich von Kreisbach ( Friedrich von Chreuzpeck ; † 1360 ) was a Lower Austrian knight and adventurer. He came from the noble family of the Lords of Kreisbach , whose ancestral seat was Kreisbach Castle .

Life

Friedrich von Chreuzpeck, known as the “latfor”, the land driver is the most famous representative of the Kreisbach family. He undertook adventurous journeys, some of them warlike, to Bohemia , Italy , France , the holy land of Palestine (three times), Mesopotamia , Egypt , Armenia , Cyprus , Constantinople , the Tatar , to Russia , Poland , Prussia , Hungary , Bulgaria , to Wallachia , Transylvania , Sweden , Denmark , Scotland , England , Ireland , Holland , Rome , Spain and Mallorca . So he traveled most of the then known world. Austria knew how to appreciate the heroism of her brave son. On November 29, 1358, the day of the coronation of Rudolf the Founder , in the presence of all dignitaries of the country, Friedrich von Chreuzpeck was elevated to the position of supreme hereditary master hunter. He died in 1360.

Domination

In 1296 Friedrich von Chreuzpeck received the rule of Schwarzenbach, including the Schwarzenbach Castle there, from Duke Albrecht I as a gift for the useful services that he performed on the field against Count Ivan von Güns .

Family coat of arms

The name Chreutzpeck is derived from Chreuzpach, which means Krebsbach, and so the family also used the cancer as a coat of arms and as a crest.
