FRISTO GETRÄNKEMARKT GmbH is a medium-sized family business. The retail company with its headquarters in Buchloe (Ostallgäu) operates beverage pick-up markets in eight German federal states and in the Austrian state of Tyrol.
history
Founded in 1969, the company opened its first beverage store in Nuremberg in 1970 .
The name "FRISTO" is derived from the first and last name of the first sales manager, Fritz Stoll.
In 1991 the company, which was initially based in Nuremberg, was relocated to Buchloe.
Since then, the sales area has been continuously expanded and consolidated. Additional branches as well as logistics and administration locations were built for this purpose. In 2015, the fifth and logistics center in Zimmer ob Rottweil followed on around 40,000 m².
Branches
In 2019, 220 beverage stores belong to the company, which is represented in the southern and eastern German states of Bavaria , Baden-Württemberg , Rhineland-Palatinate , Hesse , Saxony , Thuringia , Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg as well as in Austria ( Tyrol ). Numerous markets and all logistics centers are owned by the company.
The beverage markets with sales areas between 250 m² and 650 m² are often located in the immediate vicinity of food discounters and other specialist markets.
Employee
Over 1,200 employees work for the company in the 220 beverage markets, the five logistics centers and the administration.
FRISTO also trains around 50 trainees and dual students in five apprenticeships and three bachelor's degree programs.

- Buchloe (Ostallgäu)
- Adelsdorf (Northern Bavaria)
- Rossau (Saxony)
- Gernsheim (Hesse)
- Zimmer ob Rottweil (Baden-Württemberg)
Most of the stores are supplied by the company's own logistics system, which has around 160 employees to ensure the flow of goods from the manufacturers to the stores. The company has its own fleet of vehicles, which includes 52 trucks (2019). This means that around 20 million beverage crates are moved every year.
Range and service
The range consists of over 6,000 items, of which each beverage store carries up to 1,200 items. In addition to non-alcoholic beverages, the beverage markets offer a wide range of beers, wines and spirits.
The focus of the range design is on regional products in reusable containers.
environment
Over 90% of the range consists of items in reusable containers. Suppliers from the region also ensure short transport routes.
