Fritz Bayerlein (textile manufacturer)

Fritz Bayerlein (born July 23, 1905 in Bayreuth ; † April 29, 1996 ibid) was a German textile manufacturer.

Life

Bayerlein attended the secondary school in Bayreuth. After graduating from high school, he studied economics at the Technical University of Munich and the University of Innsbruck , where he was active in the Corps Isaria (1925) and Rhaetia (1926). As an inactive , he went to the University of Lausanne , the University of Cologne and finally to the State Technical Center for the Textile Industry in Reutlingen. After several internships, he joined the family business FC Bayerlein in 1932 . During the Second World War in the Wehrmacht, he was taken prisoner of war. After his dismissal, he built the factory that had been destroyed in the war into a large synthetic fiber processing company . In 1973 he became managing director of the company's administration. A year later he also took over this position in the consulting department. From 1953 to 1975 he was chairman of the Bayreuth district group of the Association of Employers' Associations in Bavaria. From 1962 to 1975 he held the office of Vice President of the Upper Franconian Chamber of Commerce and Industry , where he was also chairman of the working committee. He was also chairman of the Association of the Northern Bavarian Textile Industry. He sat on the Presidium of Gesamttextil , on the boards of the Association of German Cotton Spinners and the Regional Association of Bavarian Industry, on the Advisory Board of the Planning Region of the Government of Upper Franconia and on the Advisory Board of the Münchberg Textile School . He was also chairman of the board of trustees and honorary senator of the University of Bayreuth . From 1972 to 1977 he sat in the Bavarian Senate .

The Cologne-based Corps Friso-Luneburgia awarded him the ribbon in 1953.
