Fritz Hintz-Fabricius , also Fritz Hinz-Fabricius and Hintz Fabricius , actually Fritz Hermann Hintz , (born February 7, 1891 in Marienburg , Austria-Hungary , today Romania , † August 22, 1968 in Vienna ) was an Austro-German singer , Actor and theater director .

Life

Very little is known about Hintz-Fabricius' early life. He came from Transylvania in the far east of the Austro-Hungarian province. Since the 1910s he was active as a singer in the theater, stage stations were, among others, Düsseldorf , Kassel , Hermannstadt (located in his old home, where he was allowed to work as a director at the Deutsches Landestheater) and, since the 1938/39 season, Berlin . In the German capital, Hintz-Fabricius appeared at the theater in the Admiralspalast , at the theater Unter den Linden and at the theater on Nollendorfplatz , where he also acted as a director. Since moving to Vienna in the middle of World War II (1942/43 season), Hintz-Fabricius has appeared in Austrian theaters such as the Kammerspiele and the Theater in der Josefstadt . After the war it is no longer detectable in any permanent ensemble.

When he arrived in Berlin, Hintz-Fabricius was brought in front of the camera for the first time just a few days after the outbreak of war in September 1939. From the beginning he played only small roles, mostly Hintz-Fabricius took the subject of dignitaries and dignitaries. He was seen as a count and prince, as a priest and general, as a court chairman and hospital director, as an opera singer and professor, but also as a casino director and envoy. Hintz-Fabricius made some television films until shortly before his death.
