Knight Fritz Jakob von Anwil (* around 1460 , † before 1537 probably in the castle New Andwil at Rickenhueb, community Waldkirch ) was steward at the Bishopric of Konstanz and Obervogt in Bischofszell .

Origin and family

Fritz Jakob von Anwil came from the eastern Swiss lower nobility of An (d) wil and in 1526 married Anna von Klingenberg for the second time . His son, Hans Albrecht von Anweil, was mayor of Freiburg im Breisgau and governor of the Baden-Durlach Oberamt Rötteln .

Life

Fritz Jakob Anwil was and court Mr over Dozwil and from 1498 at the bishop's court in Konstanz operates. In 1500 he became court master and in 1508 Obervogt von Bischofszell. From 1500 to 1524 he negotiated several times on important matters in federal diets .
