Fritz Johlitz (born March 23, 1893 in Schneidemühl , † June 15, 1974 in Duisburg ) was a German politician of the NSDAP and a member of the Reichstag . In the German Labor Front (DAF) he acted as district steward. He also published the DAF and NSBO newspaper Der Ruhrarbeiter in the Essen district .

Life

Johlitz attended elementary school , which was followed by an apprenticeship as a locksmith . He took part in the First World War as a volunteer. Between 1918 and 1920 he was a member of a volunteer corps to fight the uprisings in Upper Silesia . In 1927 he passed the master craftsman's examination and was employed in the engine plant of Friedrich Krupp AG , where he became chairman of the works council in 1933 and a member of the supervisory board from 1933 to 1935 .

In 1928 he took over the leadership of the local NSDAP group in Essen and in 1930 was one of the founders of the National Socialist company cell organization . From 1931 he was a city councilor for the city of Essen and was elected to the Reichstag on July 31, 1932 , to which he was a member until 1945.

He eventually became president of the labor office in Essen. During the Second World War , he headed the Labor and Social Affairs department in German-occupied Norway from summer 1942 until the end of the war in May 1945 under Carlo Otte, head of the Economics Department .
