Fritz Kaiser (born March 22, 1955 in Liechtenstein ) is a financial entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist from the Principality of Liechtenstein. He is co-founder and chairman of Kaiser Partner, a wealth management group based in Vaduz . With over 200 employees, the group manages around 25 billion in client assets. The group includes the trust company Praesidial-Anstalt, Kaiser Partner Privatbank as well as specialized subsidiaries for trust services , portfolio management and investment controlling . Kaiser Partner was created in early 2006 from the merger of the Fritz Kaiser Group and Ritter & Partner Holding and is today one of the leading wealth management companies in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Life

Fritz Kaiser is married to Birgit and has four children. In addition to his school education, Kaiser made an athletic career as a judoka , which led him to the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal . Kaiser is very committed to society. He is co-founder and trustee of the Mentor Foundation, which was launched in 1994 at the UN General Assembly in Geneva for drug prevention for young people. The current patron of the organization is Queen Silvia of Sweden . Fritz Kaiser is a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos . He is also a collector of contemporary Chinese art and sports cars from the 1950s and 1960s and regularly takes part in classic car rallies.

Career

Kaiser graduated from the commercial academy in Feldkirch / Austria and began his professional career in 1977 at the Presidential Institution, one of the principality's leading trust companies. In 1982 he founded the Fritz Kaiser Group and looked after wealthy private clients, entrepreneurs and internationally known personalities from the world of sports and art in financial matters. In 1990 Fritz Kaiser bought the credit card company Diners Club (Switzerland and Liechtenstein) and became a member of the Diners Club International Strategic Council at the licensor Citibank . In 1999 he sold this company to Citibank. In 1995 Kaiser became co-owner of the Swiss Formula 1 racing team, Sauber, of which he was chairman between 1997 and 1999. During this time he brought the energy drink manufacturer Red Bull on board, brought the Malay oil company Petronas to the Swiss Formula 1 team as the main sponsor and developed the engine partnership with Ferrari . In 1999 he sold his stake in the racing team to his partners Peter Sauber and Dietrich Mateschitz (Red Bull).

Kaiser partner

In 2006 the Fritz Kaiser Group merged with the Ritter & Partner Holding owned by Dr. Peter Ritter. In 2010, when Peter Ritter retired, Fritz Kaiser took over his stake in the Kaiser Ritter Partner Group. The new owner and Executive Chairman sharpened the strategic focus of the group and concentrated on the core business of investment advice . Kaiser Partner today offers comprehensive financial services for wealthy families and entrepreneurs. The group combines the presidential institute, a private bank and an investment advisor registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and other consulting and service companies under one roof. Kaiser Partner employs around 110 people at its headquarters in Vaduz and Zurich . The group manages assets worth around CHF 25 billion.

Kaiser Beteiligungen Holding

Fritz Kaiser founded Kaiser Beteiligungen Holding in 2010. Kaiser Partner's parent company has invested in new companies in recent years. In 2013 the holding company took over the IT company Ringier Studios from the Ringier media publisher . The company now operates under the name 21iLab and has locations in Vaduz and Milan . 21iLab develops apps, websites and interactive advertising media for mobile devices. In January 2015, the holding company took over an offshore wind farm project in the German Baltic Sea. The construction of a 500 megawatt wind farm with over 60 wind turbines is planned. The Classic Car Trust was founded in 2013. The company provides services for owners and collectors of classic vehicles. The Classic Car Trust is also a sponsor of the “ Mille Miglia ” classic car competition in Italy.

Awards

Fritz Kaiser has been grappling with issues of responsible handling of assets for a long time. He initiated the "Private Wealth Council", which deals with this topic. In addition, he played a key role in the so-called "Liechtenstein Declaration" of March 2009, with which Liechtenstein initiated the paradigm shift towards international cooperation in tax offenses. Kaiser also made an initial contribution to the development of the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility (LDF). The agreement between Liechtenstein and the United Kingdom gave United Kingdom taxpayers advantageous conditions for declaring their assets. His special services to the Principality of Liechtenstein were recognized in autumn 2015 when he was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Princely Liechtenstein Order of Merit . Kaiser has also received several awards for its pioneering initiatives in the financial sector. In 2011 Kaiser and his colleague on the Board of Directors Philip Marcovici received the Spear's Magazine Award for “Wealth Management Innovator of the Year”. In March 2015 Kaiser was honored at the WealthBriefing Swiss Awards in Geneva in the category “Outstanding Contribution to Wealth Management Thought Leadership”.
