Frogg

Frogg is a Berlin band that was founded in 2006 with the current line-up. It consists of the Englishwoman Mills (vocals) and the Seeed members Mo Delgado and Luke 4000 as DJs .

Musically, the band moves between R'n'B , Hip-Hop and Electronica .

Band history

Frogg has existed as a rather loose musical project since 2001 and is one of the numerous solo projects of the individual Seeed band members alongside Peter Fox , Boundzound and Dellé . It began as a cooperation between Moritz Schumacher, who is known as Mo Delgado as a saxophonist and founding member of Seeed, and the singer Louise Mills, who was born in Leeds and grew up in London, and who in 2000 at one of the regular jam sessions at the Berlin ACUD - Got to know the club. After several more sessions, the two decided to work together, for which reason Mills permanently moved her residence to Berlin. Previously in London, Louise Mills was a member of bassist Anthony Tidd's M-Base band “Quite Sane” and later gave concerts and workshops for children in Egypt , South Africa and Swaziland on behalf of the British Council . As an actress and singer, she also appeared in the music theater project Mavis by Ensemble Modern trombonist Uwe Dierksen.

From 2006 onwards, DJ Luke 4000 , who had previously performed with Seeed, Martina Topley-Bird and Moabeat , joined the band on a regular basis.

In 2009 the first album called "Blink Blink" was released. Music videos were also produced for three of the 15 songs (Bitch, How can You and Tell Me).

In addition to appearing in the supporting act for Seeed and De La Soul , they were on tour as supporting act for Miss Platnum at the end of 2009 . They also performed at the renowned London Fertilizer Festival in October 2005 . At this gig, DJ Luke was part of the live cast for the first time.
