The Furtschaglspitze ( 3190 m above sea level ) is a striking rock pyramid in the Zillertal Alps above the Furtschaglhaus (2295 m) between Schönbichler Horn (3134 m) and Großem Möseler (3480 m).
Ascent
The first ascent and naming took place on July 8, 1887 by Carl Benzien and Hermann Meynow of the Berlin section of the DOeAV under the leadership of Hans Hörhager from Dornauberg over the west ridge UIAA III +.
The normal route is from the Furtschaglhaus towards Schönbichler Scharte ( Berliner Höhenweg ). Shortly under the notch to the south, on the right, you cross to the next notch and then on the north side of the ridge to the summit, easy climbing area UIAA grade II.
