The Gänsbach is the four and a half kilometer long right and northern source stream of the Merkenfritzerbach in the Hessian Wetteraukreis .
Some see "Gänsbach" only as a name for the upper reaches of the Merkenfritzerbach .

The Gänsbach rises at an altitude of about 467 m above sea level. NHN in a small coniferous forest northeast of Gedern north of the B 275 . It first flows southwest through the Waldgewann Seife , then crosses the B 275 and then runs in the direction west-southwest parallel to the main road through the temple forest . At the Tempelstrieb forest it turns left, now moves south through grassland and then reaches the northeastern edge of Gedern, where it changes its direction to the southwest. It crosses under a sports field and is then dammed up to the Gänsweiher . To the east of Lauterbacher Straße , a meadow stream flows to him on his right. It now moves south again and finally unites at the corner of Am Stillhof / Weningser Straße at an altitude of about 301 m above sea level. NHN with the Mühlbach to the Merkenfritzerbach .
