Géla Babluani
Géla Babluani ( Georgian გელა ბაბლუანი ; * 1979 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian director and screenwriter.
Life
Géla is the son of director Temur Babluani . At the age of 17, Géla Babluani came to France with his three siblings. In 2002 he made his first short film, A Fleur de Peau . His first feature film 13 Tzameti was made in 2005.
Babluani also directed the Hollywood remake of 13 Tzameti , which premiered in March 2010 under the title 13 . Jason Statham , Mickey Rourke , Ben Gazzara and Alexander Skarsgård play the main roles in the remake , as well as 50 Cent .

Awards
- For his feature film debut, Babluani received the Luigi De Laurentiis Prize at the Venice Film Festival in 2005 .
