Gökbez is a village in the district of Bor the Turkish province of Nigde . The place is about 18 kilometers southeast of the district town Bor and 22 kilometers south of the provincial capital Niğde .
In ancient times, a connecting road ran through the mountainous landscape of Gökbez from Tyana , today's Kemerhisar , to Faustinopolis and the Cilician Gate . There is a late Hittite rock relief in the village , and three inscribed grave pillars were found. Two of them are in the Niğde Archaeological Museum .
