Günter Franusch (born February 27, 1959 in Gliwice , Poland ) is a former German soccer player who was promoted to the Bundesliga twice in 1983 and 1987 .

The young footballer Günter Franusch, who came from the Polish Łabędy , was taken over from their own amateur team in the summer of 1979 together with Wilfried Kohls , Hans-Peter Knecht and Uwe Bein in the Offenbacher Kickers' league eleven for the 2nd Bundesliga . On November 14, 1979 he was used in the last game of the amateur national team of the DFB at the game against Norway in Baunatal together with his club colleague Michael Grünewald .

Franusch had under coach Horst Heese in the 1979/80 season 27 game nominations and scored two goals. In the first round with trainer Franz Brungs , 1980/81, the OFC came with the regular player Franusch in the midfield - 31 games with five hits - on the second place in the table in the south and thus qualified for the playoffs against the group runner-up of the north relay, Eintracht Braunschweig . He was on the side of Uwe Bein and Kurt Geinzer on June 5 and 10, 1981 in the 1-0 home win in the stadium on Bieberer Berg and in the 0-2 defeat in the municipal stadium on Hamburger Strasse in Braunschweig .

When Offenbach took 3rd place in the first year of the single-track 2nd Bundesliga, 1981/82, there was a relegation game against the third-bottom of the 1st Bundesliga, Bayer 04 Leverkusen . With two narrow 0: 1 and 1: 2 defeats, Offenbach also missed promotion in the second attempt. In the season, Franusch had exactly the same stakes and goals as in the previous year. When coach Lothar Buchmann led the OFC directly into the Bundesliga in the 1982/83 round with the goal scorer Uwe Bein (37 games with 20 hits) through second place, Franusch contributed his part to the success with four hits in 22 appearances. With the OFC, the midfielder played 31 games in the 1983/84 round, but he could not prevent relegation.

When the free fall with Offenbach also became apparent in the 2nd Bundesliga, Franusch accepted an offer from Union Solingen in November 1984 and moved to the Bergisches Land . So it happened that he played competitive games for two clubs in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1984/85 round: eleven for Offenbach and 18 for Solingen. Offenbach was relegated at the end of the lap, Solingen took sixth place.

His former coach Buchmann brought Franusch to the 1985/86 round in North Baden for Karlsruher SC . Together with the other personalities Bogdan, Kreuzer, Trapp, Pilipovic, Schütterle, Jürgen and Lars Schmidt , this laid more foundation for the further years in Karlsruhe than the 7th place in the table at the end of the round said. Franusch played 28 games and was part of the regular line-up with 32 games under the new coach Winfried Schäfer in the second year in Karlsruhe . KSC took second place behind champions Hannover 96 and was promoted to the Bundesliga. In the first division, Franusch only made nine missions in the 1987/88 season at KSC due to a serious knee injury and left Karlsruher SC in the summer of 1988. He moved briefly to VfL Neckarau (Mannheim). From January 1990 to May 1993 he played 102 games (12 goals) for what was then the state and upper division club SG Egelsbach. His career ended at TSV Heusenstamm.

In total, Günter Franusch completed 40 Bundesliga and 200 second division games, in which he scored 19 goals in the second division.
