Günther Wolfbauer

Günther Wolfbauer (born January 1, 1926 - December 15, 2009 in Munich ) was a German sports journalist .

Wolfbauer was one of the first sports reporters on television. At Bayerischer Rundfunk , he was part of the team of moderators for reporting on the Bundesliga, together with Sammy Drechsel and Oskar Klose . For the radio, Wolfbauer moderated, among other things, the program Today in the Stadium . Since 1958 he has also worked as a commentator for international football matches for ARD . He later moderated the programs Blickpunkt Sport - fifty times between 1977 and 1985 - and Saturday Club on Bayerischer Rundfunk . He also shot numerous reports.

On the regional broadcaster TV Weiß-Blau at the time , he presented the Oktoberfest live from a festival tent with Gaby Hildebrandt and Bernhard Ziegler .

From 1978 to 1990 he was also head of the municipal press office.

The burial took place on December 21, 2009 in the north cemetery in Munich .
