The Gʻovasoy ( Russian Гавасай Gawassai , Гава Gawa , Явазарсай Jawasarsai or Ката-Бозтекесай Katta-Bostekessai ) is a right tributary of the Syrdarja in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan ( Central Asia ).

The Gʻovasoy rises on the southern slope of the Chatkal Mountains in the Kyrgyz region of Jalalabat . Initially it flows south-south-east and later south through the mountains. It turns to the southeast, forming the border with the Uzbek province of Namangan . Finally it reaches the Fergana valley , where it fans out into numerous irrigation channels. The actual course of the river now runs south through the Namangan Province. It runs west of the city of Khust and east of Pop . The Northern Fergana Canal crosses the lower reaches of the Gʻovasoy. The river ends south of the city of Pop on the north bank of the Syr Darya.

The Gʻovasoy has a length of 96 km. It drains an area of ​​724 km².
