GVV insurance in Cologne

The GVV-municipal insurance mutuals (GVV-local) is a German insurance company based in Cologne .

GVV-Kommunal is a member insurance for cities , municipalities , districts , municipal companies and savings banks .

With GVV-Kommunal, municipalities created self-insurance in 1911 that bears municipal risks as a community of solidarity and danger.

The business area of ​​GVV-Kommunal includes the regions of North Rhine-Westphalia (partly in cooperation with the municipal damage compensation ), Rhineland-Palatinate without the Palatinate region, Hesse , Saarland , Berlin , Bremen , Hamburg and Baden-Württemberg (only Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen region ). Since June 2015, GVV-Privat has been open to everyone and people outside of the municipal service can also take out insurance.
