Gaëtan Krebs (born November 18, 1985 in Mulhouse , France ) is a French football player and coach.

Career

player

The two-footed midfield all-rounder played in his youth at FC Sentheim, FC Mulhouse and finally at Racing Strasbourg . There he signed a professional contract in July 2005. In Ligue 1 he came to two missions in the 2005/06 season; in the 2005/06 UEFA Cup , he played four bets. After a fully recovered knee injury, Krebs moved abroad on loan for the 2006/07 season and went to the then German regional league team Sportfreunde Siegen together with teammate Yann Schneider ; these were previously relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga . In the Siegerland he scored 12 goals in 29 games.

For the 2007/08 season , Krebs switched to Bundesliga club Hannover 96 . He signed a three-year contract there. On November 30, 2007 he made his Bundesliga debut and only 20 seconds after his substitution gave the template for the game-winning 2-0 (final score 3-0) of Hannover 96 against Hansa Rostock. Cancer, who was born in Mülhausen, was unable to secure a regular place in Hanover. In total, he was used ten times in the second half of the season. In the following season, the Alsatian was only a supplementary player. The contract expired at the end of the 2008/09 season.

In the 2009/10 season, Krebs moved to Karlsruher SC , who had previously been relegated from the Bundesliga, on a free transfer . At the Karlsruhe team, Krebs quickly became a regular player and top performer. At the end of the 2011/12 season, Krebs with Karlsruher SC was relegated from the 2nd division after they couldn't win the two relegation games against third division in the 3rd division , Jahn Regensburg. After relegation, Krebs extended his contract with KSC, which was not valid for the 3rd division, until 2015, making him one of the few players who stayed with KSC after relegation from the previous squad. Even after his immediate promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, Krebs remained loyal to Baden, even if he no longer played as regularly as he used to. With the KSC he reached the relegation place at the end of the 2014/15 season with third place in the 2nd Bundesliga. After Krebs was still on the bench in the relegation first leg against Hamburger SV and only came on in the 75th minute for Reinhold Yabo , he was in the starting eleven in the second leg and was substituted for Martin Stoll in the 89th minute . After Krebs' replacement, HSV succeeded in winning the relegation with a controversial free kick, so that Krebs played with KSC in the 2nd Bundesliga the following season. In the 2016/17 season , Karlsruher SC was relegated from the bottom of the table in the second division and Krebs left the club after eight seasons. He then moved to SV Elversberg , where he signed a contract dated until 2020.
