Gabi Wego

Gabi Wego (* in the 20th century ) is a former German soccer player . In 1989 she and her team SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach were German champions in women's football.

Career

In the course of her sporting career, Wego played over 400 games as a goalkeeper for various women's football teams in North Rhine-Westphalia .

With the STV Lövenich she reached the final of the DFB Cup in 1987, but was defeated on June 20, 1987 in the Olympiastadion Berlin with 2: 5 to TSV Siegen .

In 1989 she also played for SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach in the final of the German championship. On July 8, 1989, their team in Montabaur won the championship title in women's football for the ninth time with a 2-0 victory over TuS Ahrbach ; this was also her last game in her active career.
