List of DFB Cup finals (women)
The list of the DFB Cup -Endspiele women contains all the finals since the introduction of competition in the 1980/81 season.
From 1981 to 2009 the final of the women's competition was held just before the final of the men's DFB Cup . The only exception was the 1983 cup final , which took place in Frankfurt am Main , while the men's final was played in Cologne . From 1985 to 2009 the Berlin Olympic Stadium was the venue for the women's final. In 2010 the final took place separately from the men's final in Cologne's Rheinenergiestadion for the first time . With 26,282 visitors, a record number of spectators was set for games by women's club teams.
Since the women's and men's finals were held together in the same stadium, it has happened twice that two clubs from the same city were involved. In 1998 the city of Duisburg was represented in the women's final with the FCR and in the men 's final with the MSV . In 2006 the 1. FFC (women) and Eintracht (men) represented the city of Frankfurt am Main . The only lower class cup winner in 1991 was Grün-Weiß Brauweiler .
