Gabriele Hauser

Gabriele Hauser (born March 24, 1955 in Sasbach, the youngest daughter of Hugo Hauser ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ). From 2004 to 2009 she was State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry of Justice .

Life

After graduating from high school, Hauser studied law at the universities of Heidelberg, Geneva and Munich. In 1984 she became a trial reporter at the Mannheim Regional Court , followed by positions at the Wiesloch District Court and the Heidelberg Public Prosecutor's Office, and in 1986 she was appointed public prosecutor . From 1987 to 1991 Hauser was a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Legal Affairs in Schwetzingen . In October 1991 she was seconded to the Dresden District Court and finally transferred to the Saxon judiciary in 1993. At the same time she became a judge at the Dresden Higher Regional Court . From 1995 to 1998, Hauser worked as a division head in the Saxon State Ministry of Justice, after which she was appointed presiding judge at the Dresden Higher Regional Court.

After being dismissed as State Secretary, on March 1, 2010, she took up a new position as Head of Department in the Federal Ministry of the Interior . On April 15, 2014, she was again put into temporary retirement.

From November 24, 2004, Hauser was the Saxon State Secretary for Justice after her predecessor Geert Mackenroth was promoted to State Minister for Justice. In 2006 Hauser joined the CDU. She belonged to the Cabinets Milbradt II and Tillich I and left office in September 2009 under the new Justice Minister Jürgen Martens (FDP).
