Cabinet Tillich I
The Tillich I cabinet formed the state government of the Free State of Saxony from 2008 to 2009 . After Prime Minister Georg Milbradt ( CDU ) on 27 May 2008 its resignation had declared the elected Saxon Parliament the following day , Stanislaw Tillich, with 66 votes out of 121 votes as his successor. On the candidate of the NPD - Group Johannes Müller accounted for eleven votes.
Tillich had been a member of the Saxon state government since 1999 and was most recently Minister of State for Finance . A few days earlier he had replaced Georg Milbradt as chairman of the CDU Saxony . On June 18, 2008, he presented the members of his government to the state parliament. The appointment of the State Ministry for Social Affairs has been postponed: Since the previous Minister of Social Affairs Helma Orosz (CDU) was running for the office of Lord Mayor of the state capital of Dresden with good prospects in the second ballot and her departure from the government was foreseeable, she assumed the ministerial office until further notice. On August 8, 2008, Christine Clauß (CDU) was finally appointed as the new Minister of State for Social Affairs.
With the government made education CDU and sat SPD her after the state election in 2004 decided coalition continues. According to Article 68, Paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the Free State of Saxony , the cabinet acted as managing director from the meeting of the 5th Saxon State Parliament on September 29, 2009 and was replaced the next day by the new " Cabinet Tillich II " , also formed by Stanislaw Tillich . The SPD left the government and was replaced as a smaller coalition partner by the stronger FDP .
