Albrecht Buttolo

Albrecht Buttolo (born September 1, 1947 in Langenrinne near Freiberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2005 to 2009 he was Saxony's Minister of State for the Interior .

Life

Albrecht Buttolo studied technology / mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt from 1966 and graduated with a diploma in 1970. After his doctorate as Dr.-Ing. In 1973 he worked as a rationalization engineer. From 1975 to 1990 he worked in a project planning company for the automotive industry in Hohenstein-Ernstthal as a group leader for IT applications in project planning. Albrecht Buttolo was a member of the combat groups from 1973 to around 1978 .

He is married and has two children.

Albrecht Buttolo joined the CDU block party in 1979 . On June 11, 1990, the government of the GDR under Lothar de Maizière made his appointment as government representative in what was then the Chemnitz district . In the same year he was elected to the Saxon state parliament and on December 3, 1990 Parliamentary State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior . His appointment as State Secretary for Urban Development and Housing in the same ministry took place on October 19, 1993. With his appointment as State Secretary, Buttolo resigned from his state parliament mandate. From January 1, 2000, his area of ​​responsibility was expanded to include regional development. On November 24, 2005 he was appointed to succeed Thomas de Maizière as Saxon Interior Minister and belonged to the Milbradt II and Tillich I cabinets .
