Hartmut Mangold (born November 9, 1956 in Eisenach ) is a German lawyer and politician . From 2007 to 2009 he was State Secretary in the then Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labor . In today's Saxon State Ministry for Economics, Labor and Transport , he and Stefan Brangs took over this position again from December 2014.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1976, Mangold studied law and German at the universities of Freiburg and Regensburg from 1977 to 1982 . He passed the first state examination in law in 1981. This was followed from 1982 to 1986 by the legal traineeship with stations in Regensburg and Edinburgh and in 1986 the second state examination in law. In 1988 Mangold received his doctorate as Dr. phil.

Hartmut Mangold's professional career began in 1986 as a lecturer in legal philosophy and constitutional law at the University of Edinburgh . In 1988/89 Mangold worked as a public prosecutor at the Berlin Regional Court and then went to the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Science and Research as a consultant. From 1990 to 1992 he was head of department in the Brandenburg Ministry of Science, Research and Culture and then moved to the Brandenburg State Chancellery, where he was initially employed as an office manager until 1999 and later as a department head. Mangold then became head of department in the Federal Chancellery until he initially worked as a sub-department head in the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development in 2003 .

From August 1, 2007, Hartmut Mangold was State Secretary in the Saxon Ministry of Economics and Labor ( Tillich I cabinet ) led by Thomas Jurk ( SPD ). He thus succeeded Christoph Habermann , who moved to Rhineland-Palatinate as State Secretary .

After the SPD left the Saxon state government after the state elections in 2009 , Hartmut Fiedler on October 6, 2009 and Roland Werner on December 1, 2009 became his two joint successors.

Mangold was head of the administration department in the Brandenburg state parliament until November 2014 .

Mangold has been State Secretary for Economics and Transport at SMWA since December 2014 and also acts as Head of Office.
