Gabriele Meyer (* 1966 ) is a German health and nursing scientist and university professor .

Curriculum Vitae

After training as a nurse and then working for several years, Gabriele Meyer studied health sciences and German at the University of Hamburg . After the first state examination for the teaching qualification for upper level vocational schools, she worked from 1999 to 2006 as a research assistant in the field of health sciences at the MIN faculty of the University of Hamburg. In 2004 she was awarded a doctorate there with her dissertation “Evidence-based preventive interventions in nursing and health care”. phil. PhD. From 2006 to 2008, Gabriele Meyer held a junior professorship for nursing science at the University of Bremen with a focus on theoretical principles and clinical nursing research, and from 2008 to 2013 at the University of Witten / Herdecke, the professorship for clinical nursing research.

Gabriele Meyer has held the professorship for Health and Nursing Science at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and head of the Institute for Health and Nursing Science at the Medical Faculty in Halle since 2013 . From March 2013 to March 2015 she was chairwoman of the German Network of Evidence-Based Medicine (DNEbM).

Gabriele Meyer has been Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Evidence, Training and Quality in Health Care (ZEFQ) from 1/2016 . Since 2015 she has been a member of the Advisory Council for the Assessment of Developments in the Health Care System .
