The Koenen snowdrop ( Galanthus koenenianus ) is a species of the snowdrop ( Galanthus ) genus in the Amaryllis family (Amaryllidaceae). It was only discovered in 1988.

The Koenen snowdrop is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 5 to 7 centimeters. This geophyte forms an onion as a persistence organ. The leaves are rolled up before they unfold and measure 2.5 × 0.5 centimeters at flowering time and 22.8 × 1.2 centimeters later. They are erect and partially lanceolate. The underside of the leaf has 10 to 12 deep longitudinal furrows.
The inner bracts measure 0.7 to 0.8 × 0.4 to 0.5 centimeters. There is a spot on the inside that extends to the bottom, and there is often a very pale yellow or light green spot on the outside of the bottom. The outer bracts measure 1.5 to 1.7 × 0.6 to 0.8 centimeters.
The flowering period extends from February to March.
Occurrence
The Koenen snowdrop occurs in northeastern Turkey on the northern slope of the Pontus Mountains in mixed beech, spruce and maple forests at an altitude of around 1550 meters.
