features

The Peshmen snowdrop is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 9 to 13 centimeters. This geophyte forms an onion as a persistence organ. The leaves are not yet developed at the time of flowering or are shorter than the inflorescence stem, later they measure 10 to 25 (30) × 0.25 to 0.4 centimeters. The top and bottom of the leaf are the same color. There are no noticeable blue median stripes on the top.

The flowering period extends from October to November.

Occurrence

The Peshmen snowdrop occurs in southwest Turkey in the province of Antalya and on the offshore island of Kastellorizo , which belongs to Greece, in limestone karst holes, at the northern foot of limestone cliffs and in macchia at altitudes of 5 to 300 meters.

use

The Peshmen snowdrop is rarely used as an ornamental plant.
