Gamal Hamza ( Arabic جمال حمزة, DMG Ǧamāl Ḥamza ; Born  December 5, 1981 in Cairo , Egypt ) is an Egyptian soccer player .

Career

Hamza comes from the youth of Zamalek SC , for whom he also played as an active player until 2009 and scored 46 goals in 145 games. He also took part in the 2001 U-20 World Cup in Argentina and was also an Egyptian national team player from 2001 to 2007 . He scored six goals in 16 games.

For the 2009/10 season Hamza moved to 1. FSV Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga . However, his contract was terminated in October 2009 and after only one appearance in the DFB Cup . He then played from December 2009 to June 2010 for the Egyptian club El Gouna FC . He then moved to the Egyptian top club Al-Ahly Cairo , with whom he terminated his contract after a few weeks and without a single assignment to return to El Gouna FC. In January 2012 Hamza was awarded to the league rivals Masr El Makasa , for whom he made his debut on October 24, 2011 in the game against Beni Suef Telefonat when he was substituted on in the closing stages of the game. In February 2013 he joined Al-Sinaa SC in Baghdad , Iraq , and in August of the same year the Georgian FC Baia Zugdidi . He returned to Egypt in 2014 and played for Haras El-Hodood SC in Alexandria .
