Guard Train Battalion
The Garde-Train Battalion was the Train - Battalion of the Guards Corps of the Prussian army . It was under the command of the train of the Guard Corps, III. and IV. Army Corps or the Train Inspection . The place of peace was Berlin-Tempelhof . The barracks area was to the west of today's Tempelhofer Damm between the Ringbahnstrasse and the Berlin Ringbahn .
Two warehouses belonging to the Guard Train Battalion have been preserved on the property at Ringbahnstrasse 126/134 and Schöneberger Strasse 11–15.
Continued use
The Reichspost rented the building at Ringbahnstrasse 130 in 1922 and erected an expressionist brick building for the Reichspostzentralamt there . It was designed by the post construction councilors Edmund Beisel and Karl Pfuhl.
