history
The large association was formed with the mobilization on August 2, 1914 and assigned to the Guard Reserve Corps . During the war, the division was used on the western and eastern fronts. The training infantry regiment was formed from the training infantry battalion, units from the infantry shooting school and the NCO school in Potsdam, as well as guard reserve.
