87th Division (German Empire)
The 87th Division was a major unit of the Prussian army in the First World War .
history
The division emerged from the " Dickhuth " corps named after its leader , which fought on the Eastern Front as part of the " Gallwitz " army division . After the armistice there, she stayed here for a while and took part in the occupation of large areas. In mid-March 1918 he was transferred to France on the Western Front . After the end of the war, the division marched back home, where it was demobilized by the end of January 1919 and finally disbanded.
