history
The division was set up on December 31, 1916 and initially used on the Eastern Front in the Baltic States . Up until the peace treaty of Brest-Litovsk , the large association fought on the Daugava and was then used as an occupation force in Latvia and Estonia . In October 1918 the division was moved to the western front and used there to secure Lorraine . After the armistice in Compiègne and the return home, the large association was initially demobilized and dissolved in 1919.
It was classified as third class by the Allied Enlightenment .
