The 78th Reserve Division was a major unit of the Prussian army in the First World War .

The 78th Reserve Division was set up in December 1914 and initially deployed on the Eastern Front. In mid-April 1917, the large association moved to the western front . There she fought until the beginning of September 1918 and was then disbanded due to heavy losses.
