Garden dreams in Saxony-Anhalt
The project Garden Dreams - Historic Parks in Saxony-Anhalt pursues the goal of rediscovering the garden cultural heritage in Saxony-Anhalt as a monument conservation-tourism network. The historical parks, some of which have already been forgotten, are made known to the general public. The beginnings of the project go back to 1999. 50 parks of different character throughout Saxony-Anhalt belong to the network. These include the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm , the Elbauenpark in Magdeburg , the Europa-Rosarium in Sangerhausen , the Maze in Altjeßnitz , the Brühl , the Baroque Garden St. Ulrich in Müelte and the Abbey Garden in Quedlinburg , the palace gardens in Blankenburg (Harz) or the Dieskau Castle and Castle Park . Since the beginning of 2006, the garden dreams have been marketed to tourists with their own logo.
In October 2017, the title, which had previously held 43 gardens, was now awarded to 50 gardens; However, three parks lost it, such as Gutspark Seggerde .
