Central area restaurant
The restaurant Zentrallände is a traditional inn in Munich . The building is registered as an architectural monument in the Bavarian list of monuments.
location
The restaurant is located in the Thalkirchen district at Zentralländstrasse 30 near the corner with Benediktbeurer Strasse. Opposite the restaurant is the point where the central area ends and the water overflows over a weir into the Maria-Einsiedel-Bach . The area of the restaurant is surrounded by the area of the natural swimming pool Maria Einsiedel , through which the Maria Einsiedel stream flows.
history
The building was created in the course of the development of the southern Isar floodplain and the planned expansion of the Maria Einsiedel district of Thalkirchen into a villa colony, which, apart from a few other villas on Benediktbeurer Straße, was not realized. The villa , built around 1870/75, served as a residential building until the end of the 19th century . When the central raft landing in the immediate vicinity went into operation in 1899 , the house was supplemented by a single-storey extension and the Zentralallände restaurant opened in it. The restaurant itself is run under the name Zur Flosslände .
description
The original building is a two-storey gable roof in the neo-renaissance style . The gable front on the street is flanked by two three-story polygonal corner towers. The one-storey restoration building with the dining room connects to the north.
