The Gauliga Sachsen 1937/38 was the fifth season of the Gauliga Sachsen in football. BC Hartha secured the championship with a better goal quotient in front of the SV Fortuna Leipzig team . BC Hartha qualified for the final round of the German championship but dropped out after the group stage. The relegation ranks occupied the SpVgg Leipzig-Lindenau and SV Grüna . Sportfreunde Dresden and Konkordia Plauen rose from the district leagues .
