The Gauliga Sachsen 1938/39 was the sixth season of the Gauliga Sachsen in football. Dresdner SC secured the championship one point ahead of the VfB Leipzig team . The Dresdner SC qualified for the final round of the German championship and took 3rd place there. There were no relegated teams this season, as the league was increased. VfB Glauchau and Chemnitzer BC rose from the district leagues .
