The Gave d'Ossau is a river in southwest France that runs in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It is created by the confluence of the Gave de Brousset and Gave de Bious in the village of Gabas , in the municipality of Laruns . This place is located north of the Pic de Midi d'Ossau , about 1000 meters above sea level, on the edge of the Pyrenees National Park . The Gave d'Ossau drains north, flows through the historic province of Béarn and meets the Gave d'Aspe after 49 kilometers in the town of Oloron-Sainte-Marie . Together they form the Gave d'Oloron here .
