The Gave d'Aspe is a river in south-western France in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department , in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises on the Pyrenees ridge on the French-Spanish border. Its source is on the Pas d'Aspe at an altitude of around 1800 meters and is in the Pyrenees National Park . It drains north, flows through the historic province of Béarn and meets the Gave d'Ossau after around 58 kilometers in the town of Oloron-Sainte-Marie . Together they form the Gave d'Oloron here .
